AFBN Guiding Principles for Ethical and Responsible Freight Forwarding
By completing the “Membership Application Form”, the Members automatically accept AFBN Code of Ethics.
- Respecting the following Code of Conduct is essential to maintain high professionalism, efficiency and transparency within the Network. Non-compliance or disregard for the following rules will result in disciplinary action.
- AFBN network is a professional alliance as well as family reunion. Hence, all members are requested to respect all sorts of differences that may exist within the group. No discrimination is allowed! Spiritual believes, cultural backgrounds, ethnicity, gender, etc must all be respected.
- AFBN is union of people and values, and Honesty, Transparency, Integrity and Consistency are its pillar.
- AFBN is a professional network with family spirit, so all members are kindly solicit to support their fellows as much as possible, and focus on successfully working together and grow business with respect to each member’s own customer base.
- AFBN is your other journey of experiences; hence, members are expected to be open to differences and criticism, assume responsibility of their words and actions, accept their own as well as others’ mistakes, and collaborate to find practical solutions to their problems.
- AFBN members are required to provide a reply to all freight inquiries within 24 hours & reply to all sales leads within 48 hours.
- AFBN members are requested to agree on a plan of work prior to action and respect it; (i.e. profit sharing, payment currency, etc)
- All members are obligated to assist each other’s, whenever possible, Always adopt a positive approach & promoting sales for mutual growth.
- All payments/accounts must be settled within 30 days from the date of invoice, unless otherwise agreed; Delayed payments from a client, shipper or consignee are not an excuse for non-payment.
- Management has the right to send warning message to the companies in its database.
- AFBN management is highly concerned with the quality of cooperation between its members. Thus, members are kindly requested to report all sorts of problem to the management team who will take the right actions.
- Members are expected to add the Global Value Logo to their email signatures, website, business cards and company letterhead; The more you display the logo, the more you identify yourself as part of a worldwide global organization that is committed to helping your company distinguish itself from the competition.
- Members are invited to show responsibility of all commitments and agreements believed important to AFBN. If a member shows non-care or irresponsibility, it is YOUR duty as a member to friendly remind that person.
- If you are happy with AFBN, tell others. If you are unhappy, tell us! AFBN is YOUR network, YOUR investment, let’s all make most of it.\”
